A one-page site can be live in as little as 7 days, and an information website in as little as 7–10 days. A full business site runs 2–4 weeks, and stores take 4–6. The biggest variable is how quickly content and photos come back to us — we'll tell you exactly what we need on day one.

Your logo if you have one, any photos you want used, and a rough idea of the pages you need. If you don't have copy written, that's fine: on Business and Commerce we draft it and you edit, and on Starter we'll polish the text you send. If you don't have a logo, we can design one.

Completely. The domain is registered in your name, the code and design are yours on final payment, and you can move to another provider at any time. We don't hold anything hostage.

Yes. Sites that need frequent changes are built on a CMS so you can edit text, images and blog posts without touching code. You get a recorded walkthrough of your own site at handover.

No — the site, the domain and the Netlify account are yours. Without a plan, keeping your domain and hosting renewals paid and up to date is up to you. Most clients stay on a plan because security updates, backups, fixes, monitoring and the changes they ask for bundled for $300 a month on the Essential care plan works out cheaper than paying for those separately and calling someone hourly when something breaks. There are four tiers — Basic $125/month, Essential $300/month, Growth $600/month and Commerce $1,000/month — and they differ by how fast changes are made and how many requests you get each month. Plans are billed monthly, and you can cancel or change yours with 10 days' written notice and no fee.

Give us 10 days' written notice (email is fine) to cancel or change. There's no fee, and the notice gives us time to transfer your accounts and walk you through the handover. Your plan runs through the end of the month you've already paid for, and there are no partial refunds. If your written notice arrives less than 10 days before the next billing date, that next month is still billed and service runs through it.

For some businesses, you should. If you need a simple page, have the time to keep it current, and don't rely on search to bring in customers, a website builder is good value. Where builders tend to fall short is page speed, how well you show up in local search, and the small details that turn a visitor into an enquiry. And when something breaks, there's no one who knows your site. We build for businesses where the website has to bring in work. If a builder is the better fit for you, we'll say so on the call.

We set both up for you, in your name: your domain is registered through IONOS and your site is hosted on your own Netlify account, so you own everything. On the Growth and Commerce plans, we keep your domain and hosting renewals paid and current, and the actual domain and hosting costs are billed at cost on top of the plan. On the Essential plan or without a plan, keeping them paid and up to date is up to you. Either way, we handle the technical setup, SSL and email records.

We rebuild existing sites all the time. Content gets migrated, old URLs get redirected to the new ones so you keep your search rankings, and the switch-over happens with no downtime.

The standard option is 50% to book the project and start design, 50% on launch. Payment plans are available too: 50% up front, then the rest in up to 3 equal monthly payments, the first due one month after the deposit. On Starter, that's $1,000 down, then about $333 a month. You can pay by card or ACH bank transfer through Stripe, or by check on request, and invoices are due within 7 days. Everything is fixed-price from the proposal — no hourly surprises.
